Why Comedian AY shut down his Night Club "MVP" barely 8 months after Opening

In September 2014, award winning comedian Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY opened his new club, MVP, amid pomp and style in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos State. A-list celebrities from all facets of the industry were attended the grand opening.

Reports hitting the media now is that AY has temporarily closed the club for business. The reason he gave was that he needed to go back to the drawing board and get better management for the club.

‘It is not as if MVP has closed down business for good. We want to bring in fresh hands to run the place. For us it’s better to close our doors for a while and re-strategise than things to get wrong. We need better and able hands to run the lounge,’ he said.

This tells us that we should expect something bigger and better when club MVP reopens its doors for business.
